STAMPING SEARCH
THE FORD FALCON XY GT & THE X NUMBERED 351C The real eye opener was Harry's ULTRA WHITE non HO 1971 built XY GT FALCON.. Making contact with Harry owner of the Ultra white XY GT at the Monbulk cars show years back during the focus on INTERCEPTOR search was Harry's car on display with a boast board of the engines top speed thru the gears well it was the first time I saw the stated top speed thru the gears besides motor magazines They were not far different from the Police variant XA 351 FALCON GT car it was then that Harry mentioned the engine was an X engine his mechanic told him there wasbut Harry had never seen it. So we both looked around and could find let alone not see and X stamp I did take photos but nothing like an X seemed to be visible.
Someone contacted us on the Facebook group and wanted to know about the X engines and sent a photo of her friends XY GT to my surprise on describing the car I realized I had seen the car as she was a friend of Harry's clearly the X stamp was there and I rechecked my photo it was still hard to make the stamping out I realize that one has to look so carefully through different light and angles to see the X stamp
So the search was on to look in that position on non GT-HOs icluding Police 351 Interceptor seach expanded with GT_HO REASERCH and thank you to many contributors that have assisted with photos and information we are braking ground and have discovered that even th XA FALCON GT has X numbered engines , So the X engines are not exclusive ONLY to the FALCON GTHO PHASE 3
