How does a BLUEPRINTED ENGINE BLOCK find its way into an XW FALCON GT ?

XW FALCON GT STAR light BLUE

Windback to JUNE 25th 1972 Some GT-HO 4s were on the production line as most know 100 were scheduled for the last week of June and the first built on the 16th June 1972 the HO 4 production was frozen on the 30th June 1972. What was on the production main line at Broadmeadows was not going out as HO PHASE 4 -13 pilots were rumored to be built.

There were 200 sets of HO 4 bits 100 for June & 100 for July including 100 engines allocated despite recent strikes these parts were there. 3 engines went out beyond Fords control ( not the Ford Works engines) into the public area- more than half the were unaccounted for the rest we know went into the POLICE SUPERCARS the GT-HO variant .. The unaccounted lot were said to have been detuned and found their way into Fairlanes & F100 trucks maybe some of history is accurate as we have located one of the surviving engines stamped F100 code- It is likely  rural F100 AMBULANCES received the QC20 engines.

The LTD is a distinct possiblity as some Police 351 XA's had used the AG62MDXXXXX  A & S engines it was said they would go un-noticed in  heavier cars It was in a motor magazine decades ago Sir Brian Inglis Ford boss had a Landau with a HO PHASE IV  motor

Ford engine builders may say it means nothing however we would like to decipher the codes -It is  mission - there is a combination of stamping  that will be analyzed to find common denominators-meanwhile 351 C  D BLOCK & SQUARE cast owners please contribute contact us please send  images

This Gr8  find of this  QC20 engine is an XW GT survivor part of the Quest for GT-HO RESEARCH & INTERCEPTOR search
