 GT-HO PHASE IV program officially axed 1st AUGUST 1972

 40 ENGINES  For the PHASE 4 beneficiaries of 37 were the Police forces of Australia

1972 The SUPERCAR ERA  as far as we are concerned the FORD FALCON GT  reached a climax with the FORD FALCON GT-HO PHASE 4 the last of the road registered race production models that were required to have 200 identical cars made and sold to meet CAMS regulations for competition racing in Group E series production

 The engines that were ready to go into the PHASE 4 it will be featured in a video in the near future

Prior to Ford managing director  Brian Inglis circulating a confidential Ford dealers  internal bulletin  dated 3rd September of the code 01 H  option 351 4V HO ilo 351 CID 4V  specification  as an option NEVER has been, is not now, and never will be available during the life of the XA model series.

It happened a few months earlier in early for the purpose of this revelation circa April 1973 a Ford letter was sent to Victoria Police MTS 20 Dawson Street Brunswick as required for a court brief by Victoria Police 1st Division Mobile Traffic Branch that Ford admitted the existence and number of High Output or Handling Option  HO ENGINES that were completed before the XA FALCON GT-HO PHASE 4 was axed as well as a particular Ford XA Falcon 500 Victoria Police MTS  pursuit  had one of those engines with outstanding performance in the subject SUPER 145MPH POLICE PURSUIT CAR - REG No.LHH 035 

Which was one of a special post SUPERCAR CRISIS production run of an estimated 37 which some were for Victoria Police  use as Q cars & S cars for  special highway patrol specification
