GMH fell victim to the SUPERCAR crisis simply because a phone call from GMH to the parent company GM USA was alerted that the Government are banning race cars GM frowned and said they do not finance and support motor racing So Harry Firth's Pink Torana 308 V8 prototype was sent to be crash tested into the wall It was to be gifted to him . All of a sudden there was a huge support from Harry to ban the Supercars hoping Ford would do the same .. So writers go it wrong Ford did not axe the HO Phase 4 first and did not do so for some time Ford announced on they would freeze the HO 4 pending further consultation
