We built the first Ford GT-HO FALCON

The prototype XW FORD GT-HO FALCON was built by Allan Moffat and his young mechanics Peter Thorn and Barry Nelson at the request of the Al Turner the new Manager of Ford Motorsport, the Ford Works Racing team that had convinced Bill Bourke to provide a separate work area away from prying eyes which a building at Lot 6 Mahoneys Road Thomastown was selected to be the secret location, Back to the request by Al Turner to Allan Moffat which was to race a Falcon GT-HO but first I would like you to build one so I can convince Bill Bourke. That had to be done with his approval to have the bean counters to sign off on it.

It was a Allan Moffat's Malvern Road Rd Toorak BP Garage that the GT-HO prototype was built as well as the front spoiler designed and built by Peter Thorn.

When the GT-HO was completed. It was said Al Turner took it for a test drive and has an altercation with a front fence. The GT-HO was cleaned up and ready to present to Bill Bourke for a thrill ride up the Hume Highway from the Ford Glass house. Can any one add to the story? #Whatdoyareckon ? #GTHOR
