FALCON GT-HO PHASE IV FACTS falcongthophase4Jun 7, 20242 min readIt has taken over 40 years to sort out some of the stories LIKELY fuelled by the Keith Goodall Brambles red Ford Special Vehicle XA Falcon GT-HO PHASE IV on display at the Townsville SHOW in Winter circa 1973 1st July. Did someone at Lot 6 write on the Allan Moffat on the door? Young Keith Goodall (Charlie) the nephew of Townsville car dealer Keith Goodall. Charlie was with Kevin Goodall his dad when they rushed down to Ford Special Vehicles lot 6 to pick up the XA GTHO PHASE IV He saw 4 red Falcon GT's there one had Bill Santuccione stated he may have have had the red pepper company car there at the time however Bill Santuccione was no longer at Lot along with Bill Bourke he had left Lot 6 to work at Ford Asia Pacific. In an interview Charlie said Allan Moffatt was written on the door of one of them, the assumption was that the Brambles red car was the Allan Moffat's GT-HO PHASE IV. 2 cars were incomplete Kevin and Charlie were very disappointed. It would be some 6 months later that Kevin Goodall received a call that the car was ready. The PHASE IV was picked up with a roll cage fitted and side dump pipes 2 spare diffs the standard exhaust bits and the 15x7 Globe wheels in boxes all crammed in the boot and back seat, there were no tyres for the Globe wheels . Kevin drove the car out on the standard 12 slot wheels with the exception of the loud exhaust sound it was a plain red coloured XA GT on external appearance . Definitely NO SIGNAGE on the car
