1972 after the 20th JUNE with the Ford PR PHOTO session of the THREE BRAMBLES RED Ford Works XA FALCON GT-HO PHASE IV's was completed. Circa June 22nd 1972 Howard Marsden invited Mel Nichols motor writer for WHEELS and editor of SPORTS CAR WORLD with his photographer Uwe Kuessner both famous for the 140 MPH HO down the HUME in a GTHO PHASE 3 story and photo met Howard Marsden at Ford Motor Company Broadmeadows and were driven in a Falcon GTHO PHASE 3 to the secret location of Ford Special Vehicles Development Centre at Lot 6 to see 2 Brambles RED XA FALCON GT-HO's being built for Allan Moffat and Fred Gibson There were only two cars written about and photographed The Ford PR photos were not seen in a motor mags until the 1980's. It was exciting times however from such a high it was a freefall within days
We the Falcon GT world waited in anticipation for the August edition of WHEELS to see the might PHASE IV's for those who were not around in 1972 they are not aware that these were FORD FALCON GT-HO PHASE IV the journalists were not there to see 2 Falcon GT's built for Allan Moffat and Fred Gibson bit the Fastest 4 door sedans in the WORLD - the FALCON GTHO PHASE IV
